National Commission for Women Helpline for women in distress

National Commission for Women (NCW) is the apex national level organization of India with the mandate of protecting and promoting the interests of women. The Commission has set up a dedicated round the clock (24 x 7) Helpline number (7827170170) for women in distress. The website for the helpline is www.ncwwomenhelpline.in. The helpline provides online support to women affected by violence or mental stress through referral by linking them with appropriate authorities in India, such as police, health services and District Legal Service Authority.
