A meeting between La Libertad Region Governor Cesar Acuña and Indian Ambassador to Peru Vishvas Vidu Sapkal in the city of Trujillo resulted in the adoption of agreements to promote cultural exchange, knowledge, and modern technologies between La Libertad and said Asian country.

At the meeting, the regional authority underlined that the visit of the Asian nation's representative is quite significant "given the interest in the development of our region, making it an attractive place for investment and generating interesting proposals that may contribute to higher dynamism of La Libertad's economy."
Likewise, Acuña remarked that cultural exchange will make it possible to promote artistic expressions or customs of both countries, seeking to cross boundaries and to ensure that the public enjoys and learns about the richness and diversity of the two nations.
"Strengthening our cultures will allow us to further encourage tourism," he said, noting that La Libertad region can benefit from India's technological development, which would serve to boost agribusiness and other economic sectors.
For his part, the Indian ambassador recognized the productive potential of Chavimochic, adding that he will visit the area again in order to learn about the project.
It was pointed out that India also offers scholarships for comprehensive programs, taught in Spanish or English, which professionals can access in order to expand their knowledge or technical skills.
To take advantage of this benefit, the Regional Government of La Libertad will propose and examine a delegation that may need to improve their training and expand their skills.
It should be noted that the scholarships cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and meals.
